Concello de Ourense is the administrative body of the municipality of Ourense. Ourense (or Orense) is the capital of the homonymous province in Galicia, in the Spanish northwest. It is located on the Camino de Santiago, close to the Miño, Barbaña, Loña and Barbañica rivers. It is also known as A cidade das Burgas (in Galician) due to its hot springs, being one of the European cities with the greatest thermal heritage.
