What motivated your candidacy for the presidency of ACTE Europe?
Thank you for the opportunity to address this important question.
My decision to present my candidacy for ACTE Europe was born out of a profound commitment to the values and mission of this distinguished network. I have long believed in the transformative potential of the textile and clothing sector—not only as an economic engine but as a cultural and social driver within our regions as a collaborative net.
The presidency has been motivated by the desire to bring these strengths to the forefront of European cooperation, ensuring that our local actors have a strong voice in shaping the future of the industry.
ACTE Europe vision is one of renewed dynamism, collaboration, and strategic positioning. In the current context—marked by digital transformation, textile recycling, and global market shifts—I see ACTE playing a as a facilitator of knowledge exchange, a promoter of sustainable practices, and strengthen connections in a regional textile economies at the European level.
I am committed to working collectively with all member regions to reinforce ACTE’s visibility, impact, and strategic value, ensuring that we not only preserve our textile heritage but also innovate for a competitive, inclusive, and sustainable future.

ACTE Europe faces several pressing challenges in the coming years. Among the most significant are the acceleration of digital transformation, the imperative for environmental sustainability, and the evolving framework of European policies that directly impact our sector.
Addressing these will require a coordinated approach. We aim to support our member regions in adopting innovative technologies, aligning with the EU’s Green Deal objectives, and ensuring that local textile actors are actively engaged in policy discussions. Our goal is to turn these challenges into opportunities for growth, resilience, and leadership at the European level.
From your perspective, how can ACTE Europe continue to contribute to strengthening the European textile sector in a global transformation context?
In a context of a global transformation, ACTE Europe must continue to serve as a bridge between tradition and innovation in the textile sector. Our strength lies in the diversity and heritage of our member regions, and we must leverage this by promoting cooperation and networking, fostering sustainable practices, and supporting digital and technological advancement.
ACTE should increase ACTE Net and prioritize strategic partnerships, amplify the voice of regional actors in European and international forums, and invest in knowledge-sharing platforms. By doing so, we can help ensure that Europe’s textile sector remains competitive, resilient, and future-oriented.
What are the main objectives you hope to achieve during your term?
During my term, I intend to focus on three key objectives: strengthening sustainable practices aligned with the circular economy, accelerating the adoption of technological innovation, and enhancing collaboration to increase ACTE Europe’s net and its visibility and influence.
These priorities reflect current trends and challenges, ensuring that our network not only preserves its heritage but also leads the way in shaping a forward-looking textile sector to the future. Being a relevant actor in dialogue with the European Community is a pillar for this mandate.
