As part of the METASKILLS4TCLF project, a survey was conducted on the future competencies and skills needed in the TCLF industries. This report is based on qualitative research, including several focus groups and a questionnaire that got 474 responses.
In a dynamic environment, the TCLF (Textile, Clothing, Leather, and Footwear) industries, are influenced by multiple factors. Among these we find environmental considerations, consumer behaviour and the adaptability of the industries. About METASKILLS4TCLF
The object of the project is to consolidate and update part of the former “Blueprint Skills4Smart TCLF Industries 2030” project results. For example, by the adding new skills necessary to help companies in the digital and green transition.
The project key aspects focus:
- To update the EU level Skills Strategies. And, the ones existing at national level, as well as developing new strategies for three of the countries. This includes anticipating and addressing skills gaps in the textile, clothing, leather, and footwear (TCLF) sectors.
- To develop innovative Curricula and training resources using new training methodologies.
- To promote the Attractiveness and Inclusion in these sectors as a career choice.
- To launch an Awareness Campaign. Additionally, partners will conduct a robust awareness campaign to raise awareness about the TCLF sectors and the career opportunities within the sectors.
The METASKILLS4TCLF project has 25 partners from 11 different European countries. The project is co-funded by the EU.
